Chairman, MAP Advisory Board
Martin Adams is Chairman of the MAP Advisory Board. He is a technology entrepreneur, investor and executive director. Martin co-founded Lochard in 1990 and under his leadership as CEO and Chairman, grew the company into a global business, capturing 80% of the world market in aviation airport noise systems and services. In 2009 Martin sold Lochard to Spectris, a FTSE listed company, and continues to work with the group as CEO of Bruel & Kjaer EMS.
Martin has business interests in a variety of industries including online education, renewable energy and social media and holds a number of non-executive directorships in both public and private companies. He is the former Chairman of the Australian American Leadership Dialogue and in 2002 was awarded the E&Y Australian Entrepreneur of the Year for Technology, Communications, E-Commerce and Life Sciences. Martin has a degree in Mechanical Engineering (Hons) from the University of Melbourne.
