Mathew Dickerson

Mathew has a small business career that started in 1980 at the age of 12 and has seen the creation of a total of six successful start-up businesses. These businesses have seen success at local, national and international levels including numerous business awards such as the Microsoft Worldwide Partner of the Year; the Australian Business Council Award for Innovation and the Small Business Champions Award as the Best IT business in Australia.

Mathew has sold some of his businesses at strategic times including the sale of his largest business to an ASX-listed company but he still retains ownership of two small businesses. He now spends most of his time writing, talking and consulting about small business and IT with a variety of regular columns in local and international publications; radio segments on local and national broadcasters and personal presentations for a range of organisations from small local companies to multinationals such as Microsoft; NAB and Intel.

He has also authored three books and created one instructional DVD and serves on several boards. If that isn’t enough, he finds enough time to spend with his wife and four children; is an active member of Mensa; races Mountain bikes and served five years as the Mayor of his home city.
