Rebel Black

Rebel describes herself as a human agronomist and is a passionate advocate for positive change for rural women and their communities. As an entrepreneur, thought leader, author, advisor and Mentor she is inviting conversations about Thriving, Healing and Evolving and empowering rural women to ‘bloom where they are planted.’

At age 22 Rebel launched her first business from an office on the opalfields at Lightning Ridge, NSW Australia and since then she has spent the past 16 years creating award-winning businesses and leading development in women’s empowerment, community, tourism, education, business and social, emotional and physical wellbeing.

Rebel is a Fellow of the Australian Rural Leadership Foundation, is a past member of the NSW Rural Women’s State Advisory Committee, past President of the Australian Opal Centre and is a Legatee. She holds qualifications in business, food coaching, forensic healing, community development and training and assessment.

In 2015 Rebel’s business THE Rural Woman was named by Google as a Regional Online Hero and in 2016 it was anational winner in the Collective+Lexus Start Up Pitch Competition.
