Mark Farrell – Brilant Polish
Mark was born in the Central Victorian town of Castlemaine and lived there during his general school years. He moved to Ballarat for University and undertook the first 3 years of an Electrical / Electronic Engineering Degree course before realising that “Sales” was the career arena which excited me the most.
Mark started his sales life with a small lighting firm in Melbourne before moving to the large international company, General Electric. After many successful years, he needed a new challenge and moved to another large national organisation, Visy. In 2006, Mark moved back to Castlemaine for a more relaxed lifestyle while continuing his sales duties in Melbourne.
Whilst at Visy, Mark developed his interest in Detailing cars and motorbikes, which led him to a range of products from the United Kingdom called “Briliant”. After becoming the Australian Distributor for Briliant and operating it as a weekend hobby business, Mark was given the opportunity to purchase the UK operations from the owner who wished to retire.
Following this purchase, Mark moved with his very supportive wife (Linda) and daughter (Taneesha) to Woodvale just out of Bendigo and has now set up a factory in Eaglehawk to manufacture the polishes and other detailing products.
Erin Griffin - The Set Up Clothing
Hailing from the regional town of Bendigo, Erin Griffin currently sits behind her mac laptop, typing away both day and night to make The Set Up a success. With a big idea and a small budget, the concept grew from a last-minute purchase of an Australian branded t-shirt before a holiday, and 10 solid days of sleepless nights, a lot of coffee and many in depth (read brain numbing) conversations with her sounding board friends and family. A love affair had been brewing with Australian brands for many years, along with a desire to be able to not only connect with these brands, but empower and assist them.
Working as an Ad (wo)Man at a local Creative Agency (RAAK), Erin spends most of her days working with brands who are also striving to make their dreams come true and who share the same passion and entrepreneurial spirit.
At just 25, Erin lives in a world where society expects her to be constantly keeping eyes attached to technology, whilst keeping her head both above water, and in the clouds. What she may lack in experience, she makes up for in determination, and her desire to be constantly self-educating
